DPA Microphones 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphone
While our miniature omnidirectional mics are ideal for situations where a broad pickup pattern is essential and off-axis noise is not a problem, in some challenging acoustic environments a directional microphone is the better choice. The 4080 Cardioid Lavalier Mic captures the human voice with an unusually high degree of definition. This lavalier mic offers maximum side rejection and excellent sonic focus on the subject. It is designed for broadcast, conference and other live performances both in the studio and in the field.
It is acoustically pre-equalized, offering a 4 dB presence boost, which matches the mic’s chest placement perfectly. This makes the voice more distinguishable and improves speech intelligibility. Professionals will appreciate that it is lightweight and offers excellent speech reproduction.
This cardioid condenser lavalier microphone is delivered with a pre-mounted black pop filter in a holder with an integrated shock mount, fixed on a clip. An additional white pop filter is also included. Because of the flexible and practical mounting solution, the mic can easily be turned in all directions so it fits both left- and right-buttoned shirts.

Clip for 4080 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone (DMM0014)
This single clip is delivered as standard with 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphone, Lavalier.The unique mounting design, around a ball-shaped fixation spot, allows the directional microphone to easily be turned in all directions. The clip fits both left- and right-side buttoned shirts.
Double Clip for 4080 Cardioid Lavalier Microphones (DMM0015)
This double clip is for mounting two Lavalier 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphones, Lavalier on a speaker. It offers the increased security of having a backup source if one of the wireless channels should fail to function.The rubber shock mount on the 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphone, Lavalier can easily be dismounted from its enclosed standard clip (DMM0014) and attached to one of the ball-shaped fixation spots on the DMM0015 Double Clip.

Magnet Mount for 4080 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone (DMM0016)
The DMM0016 Magnet Mount for 4080 is a small holder with minimal visual appearance. It is used to mount a DPA 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphone on a speaker. When mounting on thin fabric, the mount offers safe and stable use of microphone.
The DMM0016 Magnet Mount is supplied with a small iron tag on an elastic necklace for placement inside the clothing behind the magnet.
The rubber shock mount on the 4080 Miniature Cardioid Microphone, Lavalier can easily be dismounted from its enclosed standard clip (DMM0014) and attached to the fixation ball on the DMM0016 Magnet Mount. This unique fixation design allows the microphone to quickly be turned to point in the direction of the speaker’s mouth.
